Who We Are

we are the only Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Agency dedicated to Health Care in Canada.

MCS is a group of advocates, healthcare providers and DEI experts who are passionate and wholly committed to supporting individuals and organizations toward improving the quality, availability and accessibility of care for diverse communities in Alberta, Canada.

Led by a collaborative of ethnically diverse, passionate, humanitarian focused individuals, we are personally invested in creating solutions to better serve immigrant patients and their families.

As visible minorities and active caregivers ourselves, we understand firsthand the challenges that diverse families, caregivers, front-line staff, and patients face.

Our Team

Meet Our Experts

Issack has over 30 years of experience in IT project management. Throughout his career, he has worked on a variety of different projects - from small and simple to large and complex with multimillon dollar budgets. He has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field, which he is always keen to share with those around him. Issack is known for his transformational leadership style and for being able to get the job done efficiently and effectively.

Edil A.

Project Manager - IT

Edil is a highly dedicated professional with an impressive record of accomplishment in project management within the banking sector. She has more than 25 years of comprehensive IT project management experience, having worked with several leading banks in the Netherlands. Possessing a Master's degree in Business Administration, Edil is well-equipped to handle even the most challenging projects with poise and assurance.

Sylvia H.

Consultant

A daughter and grand daughter of a first generation Chinese family who immigrated from Vietnam to Alberta in 1980s, Sylvia attributes much of her achievements to her humble roots and the support of her elders. With community development and diversity and inclusion as key drivers and a backbone both personally and professionally - Sylvia has worked on a plethora of projects across Canada, including the Canadian Arctic. Her passion to improve health outcomes for the most vulnerable is a deeply personal one. With heart in everything she does, Sylvia believes MCS is where positive change merges with meaningful impact.

Eunice H.

Consultant

Eunice has a background in Chemical Engineering, but has found herself working in the healthcare and regulatory sectors, following her passion for Adult Learning, specializing in Workplace Learning. She is Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified and is a Prosci Certified Change Practitioner. Eunice is passionate about harnessing the power of people to provide transformational change, by focusing on supporting leaders and their people through their change journeys.  She believes that understanding human behaviour can inspire business change and unlock the extraordinary. Eunice has collaborated with clients to develop strategies and content that shift workforce behaviour and mindsets, drive process and technology adoption, and leverage data-driven insights to improve decision-making and business outcomes.

Deka A.

Consultant

With over 20 years of experience in public health and community development, Deka has a passion of working with vulnerable and low-income communities to improve health promotion and asset-based community development.   Earning her MPH from the University of Minnesota, Deka managed the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program in Minnesota, leading the contextualization of the WIC program's larger overarching goal to address health disparities. She also holds a graduate certificate in International Health from Curtin University.   With ten years of experience in Alberta's healthcare sector under her belt, she has expertise in the areas of policy development, qualitative research, program review and project management.

Wafa N.

Consultant

Wafa is a registered nurse with over 15 years of experience in the public sector, both in clinical operations and program development. She holds a B.NSc in Nursing Science from Queen's University and an MPH from the University of Waterloo. Wafa has developed programs and policies at the federal, provincial and municipal levels. For over nine years, Wafa conducted policy research, managed projects, engaged stakeholders and developed programs and legislation as an individual contributor and manager within Alberta's healthcare system.  Wafa is passionate about supporting health care organizations enhance their ability to care for culturally and ethnically diverse patients and families.
